A trace of industry

This Wednesday we went to see Mother Courage and Her Children by Bertolt Brecht on Orionteatern. It was pretty good I have to say but I was tired I couldn't always focus on what they were saying and sometimes I would start looking around the theatre instead of at the actors. When looking around it felt like you were in England during the industrial revolution or a factory in one of Dickens books. It was all gloomy and mysterious. If you're ever in Stockholm go there!

This über cute and lovely outfit is from the Givenchy ready to wear collection for spring 2010. I want it real bad. And those high heels, fabulous! I also need it to be spring or summer real bad. It was -10 today and I'm going crazy. It's one of the many downsides about living in Sweden. So, give me summer and some hot outfits and I won't complain.

Elie Saab - the divine creator

The name is Elie Saab - the designer of the lovers of my life. Every collection blows me away and every collection makes me go crazy. This lovely fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection for instance makes me want to say "please let me die and go to heaven because at least then I get to wear his fabolous designs". Hyperboliskt? antagligen. You have to check out the rest of the collection at style.com because there is more amazing to see.

The male hot bods of our time!

Taylor Lautner. The name on everybody's lips buffed of for New Moon and made a name of himself. We like him shirtless and I can bet he likes flaunting that stuff. Come on who wouldn't? If you've worked that hard you deserve a standing ovation.

Yes yes yes. Looking and liking a lot! That body and the loveable character he plays in the proposal make this Ryan Reynolds guy irresistible.

What would this man be without his muscles? probably hot but with them he's hot hot hottie hot hot!! The owners name of these muslces probably hasn't escaped your lips but just in case it's Kellan Lutz.

Now, Hugh "Hunky" Jackman oozes masculinty. He is easy on the eyes and very google friendly when you want some eye candy.

The maybe not as famous Chris Carmack has a competitive advantage and it's right in front of you. Yes, I'm talking about his pecs and abs. No need for a brain behind that lovely wrap.

Channing Tatum sets the standards and probably makes every soldier out there insecure about his body. Just look at him it's the ChanMan! The beefcake of beefcakes.

Nothing escapes him

Okaaaay, I've FINALLY seen Sherlock Holmes and it was as good as expected and I expected it to be damn good. I loved the flashbacks and the colours of the movie. I loved all the details and when Sherlock planned how to beat somebody. I also appreciated the sum up in the end and the hint of a sequel. And finally I loooved Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr, hot hot hottie hot.

Oscars today!!

Ohh how I have waited for this day! and it has finally arrived. I'm hoping Avatar will win the award for best movie. This is gonna be good. I can't wait to see all the beautiful dresses and the ugly ones as well haha and all the hot guys all suited up. Would kill to be there though and see it all live, how amazing wouldn't that be? well, wathing it from the comfort of my living room is pretty good as well. In Sweden the oscars start 00:00 so I'll be watching it all night long...

As I see it, naive or not

Back in time, not to far back, women had certain expectations. I have recently read a couple of books that have depicted a patriarcal society, like Medea, Madame Bovary and Thérèse Raquin. And I would have to say that living in this kind of society has lead them doing bad things. As in the case of Medea, she wouldn't have been as angry with Jason for leaving her if it was today. Because today a divorced woman is still a woman and a woman has value. She's not just a storage space for the man's child. As a person of a new generation, call me naive, I think that we are fairly equal. Very equal, dare I say. Sure, we don't always make as much money as men do when it comes to certain professions and of course that are people that are weird and prejudiced, and there will always be people like that. I think that we have come a VERY long way in a short period of time. Like here in Sweden almost 50% of the politicians with important posts are women.

Do we have any expectations today? sure there's the "you have to look good" expectation. We always have to take care of our looks more than men have to and then there's that pantyhose perfection thing. But that's also changing a bit I think, especially if you look at new generations. And men pressure on them as well even though the "look non-groomed yet groomed" look is very in right now.

So maaany movies I wanna see right now. Going crazy. Can't afford to go to ALL of them though I wish I could. And had the time of course. That would be more than great, I'm telling you. Alice in Wonderland is one of them. I also want to see Remember me, It's complicated, Valentine's day, Wolfman, Farsan, Shutter Island and I love you Philip Morris. Which is almost all movies that they show in my small town. Alice in Wonderland I HAVE to see in 3D so I have to go to that one. And Shutter Island seems like a movie you want to see at the cinema. It will never top Avatar 3D though, that I know. It's just not possible. But I know it will be damn good, that I can tell...
